House Hunthing and Kinglake

Was house hunting this morning and came out quite dejected by what I saw. Not a good sign at all. Will have to do round 2 next weekend. Sucks bad.

Got sick and tired of looking at ugly run down houses so I decided to blow the dust off my camera and visit the town of Kinglake which was affected by the Black Saturday bush fire that was on the news all over the world several months back.

The town is slowly but surely recovering and getting on quite well. I took a whole bunch of frames (74 to be exact) and have only managed to upload 3 so far and even then they are unedited. Yes. All 74 frames are of charred trees and moss growing on the ground so dont get your hopes up too much just yet.

Lovely Day

Pretty darn good weekend I must say. I am stoked out from yesterdays surf session. Today was a little more laid back as the swells died down in the afternoon and I find myself floating in the open ocean enjoying the view and the gentle sea breeze.

Took my camera out for a quick couple of snaps just to blow the dust off the lenses. Nothing great turned up. Was more just goofing about. Am still working on proper shots but none I'm satisfied to upload as yet.

More to come.. but I do hope you enjoy the new scenic shots albeit the shabby-ness of it all. My heart is just not in it... I am more excited about hitting the water then getting behind the lens these days.

Never is a promise....

Been months since I've logged on and still nothing to show for it. Trip to Japan was worth the headache getting there and I came back with more photo's then I can manage to edit. Still going through the shots at the speed of a dead snail. I've been a busy person.

Lots have gone on with my life and many changes has happened. My focus in the arts has yet again shifted from urban life back to nature and its elements and possibly even sports and action shots with the Rip Curl Pro surfing competition at Bells Beach coming to an end on friday last week (17th April 2009). I have had lots of good memories from this years event.

Managed to hang out with Taj and Parko at Torquay the saturday before the event was scheduled to start and then a stoked out surf session the following week with CJ Hobgood during sunday's lay day at Jan Juc. Monumental stuff. Local wildcard boy Adam "Robbo" Robertson made us all proud by making it into the finals. Keep an eye out for him in the events yet to come.

My time has been subdivided into many segments and unfortunately there might not be enough time in a day to squeeze in personal photography work. That might change at some point as I've got several trips lined up from Jjuly onwards. I am hoping to at least upload photo's on competitive sailing, surfing and kite boarding as a subject matter but that's promising too much as it is. We shall have to wait and see what turns up in the near future.

Until then......

6 more weeks to go eager beaver!

Indeedy yes! 6 more weeks to go and then Osaka! The land of street fashion photography and kinky fetishes! 2 whole weeks of shopping bliss (for me anyway). This is where I put my language skills to the test and blow the dust off my camera(s).

I'm excited. Very much so. Eager beaver. Ants in my pants. Caffeine junkie kind of shakes and shivers. Boing off walls and running around in circles.

I'm hoping to produce some DA worthy shots in 6 weeks time. Provided I don't get carried away with the shopping and drinking that is. I'm bound to produce something (or so I hope). I don't think a very hung over photographer is a very good one but we shall see.

At the moment I'm thinking rubber ducks in a tub of bubble bath. I should experiment on that.

Step you
